While the blockbuster format leads to a greater variety in stories, the stories themselves are just lacking. The Clara mystery arc is less a developing storyline and more a weekly reference with no clarity until the finale. Some good episodes aside, it just doesn't work.

SERIES FIVE
It was the series that made me love Doctor Who and a decade later, it still holds up as one of the show's best. The performances, the visuals, Murray Gold's magical soundtrack and above how it works together as one, beautiful story; it's an incredible debut.
