My favorite kind of magic to write is the stuff hinged on emotions. Like in the Toad series when Jessi gets pissed she is so consumed by rage she becomes a tunnel vision murder machine. Another fun one is writing someone like Roan who is so detached from our world she breaks it. https://t.co/QsnhF0dE6X
I am very partial to any characters I have that have sharp teeth.

Looking for a new read?
Take a look at what's in the series. https://t.co/Yy483CmMG7
This girl has been through the wringer.
I'm sure I'm forgetting some but this covers her general damage. And there's still 8 more books for her to get a few more battle scars. https://t.co/9PV4It0WKF
I think the best example is the relationship between Jessi and Jay.
Jay was made indirectly to kill Jessi and replace her as a mimic. They clash a few times, but Jay has too many human feelings and Jessi is just stronger. They almost kill each other but ultimately understand E/O https://t.co/3VU3hGXPFY
I'll do Toad!
Jessi met Catori because of shared family death experiences. They befriend Lillian because she can do magic too. Elek joined in to help Jessi in book 8 (for emotional reasons too). Ash was Jessi's bully but they make amends. Jay gets redeemed/adopted as a sister https://t.co/fHgvGZMEHp
