Stygai, also known as the City of the Night, is a ruined city in the Shadow Lands of Essos. Stygai is said to be a haunted corpse city. Twisted creatures, such as demons & dragons, are said to live near it. The city only sees the light of the sun very briefly around noon each day

There were five great wars between the Valyrian Freehold and the Ghiscari Empire. Each one ended in victory for the Valyrians, and in the fifth war they decided to end it. The Ghiscari cities were razed, the fields were sown with salt and lime and skulls, & their people enslaved

In the reign of Baelor the Blessed, tensions were high between Dorne & Westeros due to the execution of his captive brother Daeron I. Instead of executing his own Dornish captives, Baelor gave them horses & walked barefoot with them to Dorne & through its deserts to ask for peace

Ice dragons are said to be made of living ice, breathe ice, and have pale blue eyes. They are much larger than the dragons of Valyria and rumored to live in the Shivering Sea north of Essos ❄️🐉
