One of the best parts of art making is the exploration. Just like Cristopher Columbus or Leif Erikson artists get to set out to unknown areas. As an artist, I can head off to parts unknown, taking as much gear or as little gear as desired.

Courage - (definition) The quality of being brave or confident without being reckless or thoughtless. I always think artists need to have courage. I also think there is a touch of recklessness in any artist's creative process.

The piece in this picture is Splish Splash. When I created this piece, I WAS thinking about summer and water, sunrises and sunsets, and this one just came together wanting to have fun. Please enjoy some close ups and more in place photos.

What's on my easel(s)? Still working on the series which is inspired by water. The layers are coming alive. What's on your easel or desk?

These are a few details of work in progress. There is always something new on the easel. Probably because I have many easels in play at once. I find it keeps one fresh, one energized, one productive.

Got To Have You is from the series When We Met. When I created this piece, I was thinking about when you met 'the one' and you just knew that you had to have them. To be with them. To spend eternity with them. Do you believe in love at first sight?

Ahhhhh we made it to Friday. Wasn't sure I was going to make it this week! Is it just me? Or did this week seem extra long? It's not just me is it? Well, we made it.... finally Friday! And it is time to party!!!! Dance all night is ready to have you wanting to Salsa all the time.
