Sunday inspiration: Isn't this photo by Suzanne Saroff amazing? Photography of flowers has got to be challenging. Finding flowers that look fresh and perfect would be almost impossible. Check out photographer Suzanne Saroff.

As an artist, I love when I can achieve soft blends and the look is more like oil paint. It's not easy. I paint in acrylics. They were designed to be fast drying...acrylics can take only minutes. When painting hours every day, so many movements becomes second nature.

Creating this one was fun. It began with graphite and ended with paint. I always loved the effects and feel of graphite. Such wonderful textures and tones.

Yawwwwn. Sunday's are a weird day for me. I want to catch up on sleep. I have an unfinished ToDo list that's haunting me. And I am starting to think about the week to come. So what do I do? Toss it all in the air and paint! #InMyHappyPlace

When developing a piece, there are many layers. Dark over light, light over dark, there is no preconceived plan.
