I love Mikoto so much, she means a lot to me and she will never leave my top 1.
A thread is not enough to get an idea of how big this feeling is, it’s difficult for me to put it into words.

I also want to mention that Mikoto not only has her own Spin-Off, but also has a bunch of Light Novel Side Stories.

These are Railgun SS1, SS2 and SS3, also Cold Game and a new one that will be released in June!

They are super interesting and I highly recommend them!

And well, they actually are pretty similar.
Both of them care of each other in some way, and would rather sacrifice themselves than to get others involved in their troubles.
And Mikoto understands that Touma wants to save everyone possible, cause that’s what she wanna do as well

She wants to be reliable and someone indispensable in the Kamijou Faction, which she actually does!
It’s in fact Touma itself who has said on several occasions that he can fully depend on her with his life, describing Mikoto as a 'lifeline' and feeling safer when she’s around.

I want to talk a bit about her relationship with Kamijou.
First, I point out that Mikoto is not obsessed with Touma, and she’s not dependent on him. Of course she’s in love, but after all she cares about Touma and wants to help and protect him while trying to understand him.

So basically she’s a character in constant development and growth in both Index and Railgun
Started as a Level 1, now she has confidence to fight powerful scientific/magical enemies by her own or alongside the Kamijou Faction (even though she’s still a bit confused with magic 😅)
