I know I’m sort of a broken record when it comes to this but the design work for the Gotengo is absolutely STUNNING.

I can’t stress this enough: Toho has revolutionary and incredible design work. The golden age of Toho’s Showa era really flexed their beautiful visual telling of fantasy. It may seem outdated to us now but I do wish I lived during the time to truly understand the beauty.

Today is the 59th anniversary of Atragon!

The imagery of story boards and the style of concept art is adoring. I love the imagery of Atragon and Dogora.
