I pulled an image of the Sazabi from the Gundam Wiki the other day and I noticed that it has a much higher contrast in its red parts than I'd seen before. Compare to the one that I pulled from MAHQ on the right where the dark reds mostly come from shading.
And while we're at it, here's a Gundam "dress-up" game I did for an Actionscript class back in like 2005
Gundam Thunderbolt 16 is now available for pre-order!

@gundambradley Also, wow. Pun not intended there. But like, look at Izubuchi's designs and tell me he didn't also have his share of leggy robots, mecha shouldn't have to adhere strictly to human proportions
@_plorf I mean certainly, one of the first things I think of when I think of Katoki now is just twenty versions of the Jegan D, compared to the original Jegan which somehow feels slender and lanky by comparison
And again, we think of Katoki as this guy who "standardizes" the look of MS. But remember, this is also the guy who made the Sinanju and Kshatriya, something I remember being surprised by at the time because of their organic accents. And the Victory Gundam is one of his too!
But after seeing his more Moriki-informed take on the Ξ Gundam compared to his previous intepretation, I actually think he may have just been typecast. Compare the UC novel version of the Proto Stark Jegan to the anime one. It reintroduced a lot of the more eccentric proportions!
Let's just turn Hathaway's Flash into a Moriki revival, why the hell not. I'm sure somebody out there wants a Xardion OVA
Considering the Xi's false head on its chest, I'd love to see a Gundlander version of this design.
