"Stop drawing Procompsognathus, its not even known from good remains"
NO!!
@SiakaDibba I like the Fallen Kingdom one ok, I think it is unfairly maligned. Agree with Wyatt that the backwards extending crests are neat. The other one is literally just the Papo toy.
@joel_ca_c @YearOnEarth Through the Triassic and Jurassic it was ferns and small cycads. In the Cretaceous palmetto and primitive flowering herbs. Paintings below show various Cretaceous ground cover (art by Mary Parrish), photo shows a modern fern field.
The Lost Sketches: Jurassic Park
As I'm cleaning up the house this morning, I am throwing out a lot of random pages with sketches on them. I decided to throw these two up before tossing them if for nothing else just because Stegosaurus has such a pleasing form.
Alright, here we go. Quite a few people asked for this so here it is, the phylogeny of Jurassic World's dinosaurs.
I do not follow the "ornithoscelida hypothesis" here, as studies are in the works casting doubt on its validity. I also don't include megalosauroids in carnosauria.
The question following this recent paper is "do I draw Parasaurolophus again?" The urge is there.
These are all from this year.
@ibgwiraga Not based on any recent muscle study that I am aware of. (muscle reconstructions @OliverDemuth @Sketchy_raptor)
@gstrike56 Can't say I know what you're talking about (skeletal by @bricksmashtv)
