In keeping with yesterday's poster image theme, here's one I did for Dungeons & Dragons 25th Anniversary back in 1999.🎨#dungeonsanddragons #DnD #posterart #illustrationart
I've enjoyed seeing the comments and love for Spiderwick, which is currently airing on Netflix. Here's a vintage-styled poster I created as a gift for the cast and crew.🎨#spiderwickchronicles #spiderwick #movieposter
While organizing old files I discovered a stash of archival photos taken in the 90s while living in NYC, including #MagicTheGathering art that has long been sold. Of interest is the original image of "Noble Benefactor", which included Sisay (as seen on "Mischievous Poltergeist").
Wow! I’m delighted to see that you enjoyed my “Never Abandon Imagination” exhibition poster from yesterday’s post. Here’s some progress photos.🎨#artvsartist
I started to create a grid of my art, for the “Art vs. Artist” meme, but realized I’d essentially painted a version of it a couple of years ago as the exhibition poster for my retrospective at the Norman Rockwell Museum.🎨#artvsartist
The WondLa deep dive continues with these early samples of finished art.🎨I was trying to figure out the visual style and what materials would work best. Some of these images were developed into final illustrations for the book others are shown here for the first time. 🤓📚🎨
10 years ago I was on planet Orbona creating visuals for Eva Nine’s story “The Search for WondLa”. These character development sketches were referenced throughout my writing process. I was inspired by turn-of-century lithography and the comic book genius, Jean Giraud “Moebius”.
Lastly, Interior art—including some of the two-color art, which remained tricky to print throughout production. ⚔️ I’ve tried to find pieces that were not printed in @DarkHorseComics “Realms: The RPG Art of Tony DiTerlizzi”, which collects many of my finished Planescape pieces.
The 25th Anniversary of D&D’s “Planescape” continues with more preliminary sketches and the start of finished illustrations. You can see how the sketches developed into finished pen & ink drawings. 🎨 #dungeonsanddragons #planescape #roleplaying #roleplayinggame #penandink
...and here are several more. Some of these “flavor sketches” (like the Skeksis-ripoff) were ultimately published to fill spaces in the booklets.
