Haven’t bought blu-rays in ages, but @cjwardart ‘s incredible Batman/Nightbreed artwork prompted me to seek this one out

Mike Wieringo passed away 13 years ago. His work first caught my eye on the cover of Invincible #16.

He had, in my eyes, a quintessential style. Artwork that just pops and screams COMICS!

I’ll always feel robbed of the wonderful work he would have undoubtedly graced us with.

The accuracy

Going through my backlog today, and this Batman/Superman two-parter was just beautiful. Gorgeous art by Nick Derington, and a fun story from Williamson.

@bwrites247 & @kharyrandolph capture a young man’s anger at the institutions upholding the kafkaesque rules of his life so deftly, that I was totally swept up. Electric artwork. Thematically prescient. A comic with a defiant spirit.
