It'd be great if the energy that gets collectively put into ripping CW's Powerpuff or whatever other live-action remake's hot off the presses was also put into supporting new, original creations with legitimate promise.

I'd be remissed if I didn't also address that today was Craig McCracken's 50th birthday - truly one of the GOATs of western animation, pushing the industry in many different ways with each show he has made.
A wonderful milestone for a wonderful artist.
People are rightfully unhappy about how stale and/or unattractive adult animation tends to continue to be. But I believe there's something to be said about how much progress it has actually made in the last 3 years.
I mean, REALLY look at what's actually out there right now.
