Question: Do we just...outgrow kid protagonists?
We always look back fondly on nostalgic cartoons like Dexters Lab, Fairly OddParents, etc. and yet the online fandoms for shows like Big City Greens and Craig of the Creek are almost nonexistent despite being no less entertaining.
A part of me has entertained the thought of watching Rent-a-Girlfriend as a potential means to monetize my pain.
Is it worth it?
Is there some kind of curse that prevents Netflix original animated series from growing a fandom because S1 of Centaurworld with its looney tunes nonsense and dark anime-esque stakes was a treasure on all fronts.
Glendale's my fav useless bitch.
Alright, I'll bite. Is Cyberpunk Edgerunners really all that?
Most of y'all probably know that gritty, dystopian-type series aren't exactly my cup of tea. Then again, I felt the same way about Arcane and I ended up enjoying that, so maybe I need to give the genre another chance.
What do you get when you cross a grimdark action-fantasy series with a wacky, illogical cartoon with a nice helping of saccharine Disney music?
You get Centaurworld and hot damn did the first episode win me over.
I have a weird respect for Canadian cartoons.
Like, they're that weird middle ground between kids' cartoons and adult cartoons where they can casually reference sexuality, curse and do other somesuch without trying to be too explicit.
Almost like anime.
I did actually watch the first One Piece movie a couple months ago.
Despite being quite dated, I found it to be an enjoyable, self-contained adventure about perservering friendships. The animation + comedy also holds up well. I nearly lost my shit when they burned Nami's map.
Animation community, help me out here:
Which death had you more shook as a kid? Littlefoot's mama or Simba's papa?
#Amphibia is trending + I would just like to remind everyone that so much development happened in S1.
Contagi-Anne was the moment when I felt Anne finally went from slightly disrespectful houseguest to family member when you see just how much the Plantars' "deaths" affected her.
