@SNick_WT @PPDPPL_art @kwol_o (granted this same image even manages to take Sonic 1's boxart as something separate - the 'true' Sonic in this case is considered an obscure image of Classic Sonic from the very end of his tenure, which is friggin' hilarious - yet also not far off what the original meme did)

@kwol_o @PPDPPL_art @SNick_WT Akira Watanabe does as Akira Watanabe did, and that's fine - but one guy ignoring the character sheets doesn't make it 'true'.
I'd personally say there doesn't even have to be a 'true' colour with how inconsistent it was, Sonic was just malleable as hell back then
