Trans Visibility Day questions: Is it still queer if it isn't outside the default for your culture but it is for the one you're working or living in? For your culture traditionally but less today? Is there a single cast of characters we can't point to and say, They're all queer?
I know some folks, including some vocal pros, hate jam comics, but they are, unironically, my jam. I love it.
@ferdera1 I tend to think of Morrison as the writer who loves a jam most, but who knows/how would you measure. I tend to love them, as a reader.
@Ali_Galactic Miller and Ben Caldwell, Nancy Drew inspired, hypothetically aimed at younger readers. It started as a 40-something page solo but has turned into over 300 pages now. IIRC, Miller was also hoping to do a oneshot following up Golden Child with Tula Lotay art.
@ferdera1 Danijel Zezelj and Igor Kordey for two.
Sometimes people say they can't believe I still love comics given how horrible, abusive or just obnoxious people can be. But this Batgirls cover came my way about the exact same time as that inane edgelord Jim Rugg piece. Not everybody's an asshole. That helps.
Just bugs me that this is a 21st Century comic. Peter Parker, white god to the Natives who must kiss him in penance.
