I've been designing for films a few decades now (time is strange). Always nice to meet other artists and check out their efforts. Enjoy a wonderful day.

Greetings, I'm TyRuben and I make cool shit for movies (now I teach university as well).
TyRuben here - my new site under construction - https://t.co/55nvIJny2h - but let's connect. Original Jurassic Park, SW: New Hope SD, Hellboy, Avatar, Pacific Rim, And other titles. 2D/3D designer. #PortfolioDay
I may have posted this here in the past, however, it's been the source of conversation as of late -- this is the Scorpion attack vehicle -- this is the master page first sent to WETA digital.
@agraphafx @StarWarsVisComp Yes -- GWL wanted the males to have horns.
@JurassicCollect @StarWarsVisComp Though I this might be true (I actually can't confirm or deny), it would have been done to save time and nothing more. I was never told that the designs I was working needed to match the Brano (see attached), I think GWL just liked J-Park a great deal.
As this Avatar vehicle was shared on the official site today, I thought I'd post a few views.
@officialavatar
Modeled and rendered in SketchUp.
From Pacific Rim -- Though it did not make it into the final film, really enjoyed working on this autopsy workstation.

It saddens me to think of this design as "rejected," so let's call it, "unselected" by GWL. Alternative Mos Eisley Low Rider (Swoop) design. Ballpoint, colored pencil, design marker, correction fluid on 8.5" X 11" copy paper. 1994 #StarWars #StarWarsArt
#StartToFinish Hellboy's Samaritan. At one point, Mike and I called it the Meat Pipe Bone Hammer (M.P.B.H.) - funny for a day or two. Blueline sketch. Final render ballpoint pen, design marker, white pencil, and white correction fluid on 11"X17" copy paper. 2002 @RealGDT
