OTD in 1942, Janusz #Korczak walked to Warsaw's #Umschlagplatz & boarded a train with the children of his orphanage. Their destination, #Treblinka.
Together with Stefa, about 12 members of his orphanage's staff & around 200 children, they all perished. 1/4
