Navy couldn't govern land, so Rock was considered Sloop of war. Included several 18 & 24-pounder cannons. 120-strong garrison lived in caves/tents. Pulleys winched up & down supplies from ships. Also kept small herd of goats, guinea hens & chickens on Rock. #ThursdayMotivation
