@AlyxGMusic Weirdly enough, I think that Isaac Hannaford's drawing for the Halo 4 Legendary Crate hones in on how to perfect this design.

It looks slimmer and more 'classic', but retains the tankiness of the Modified Mark VI.

Here's an appreciation post for the work that Nuare Studios did developing the Banished aesthetic in Halo Wars 2. The concept sheets they gave to Blur look so innovative and unique. I hope we see these designs implemented in an FPS someday. 🤩

The 'Covenant-ification' of the Banished infantry is somewhat strange, given that the template for what makes the Banished special seems to be understood in their leadership.

Escharum and Jega 'Rdomnai both evoke precisely the Banished aesthetic that makes it so distinct.

We know what the Banished would look like in an FPS because of Blur. I understand that some of the in-game appearances *are* for the sake of an RTS, but I think this departure is a huge stretch.

This symbol has popped up twice now. First on Escharum's blades, and now here.

I think my theory still stands that there will be seven sub-factions, as we see seven unique logos on Escharum's blades.

This Elite belongs to the Silent Shadow, who will be one of the seven.

@ReallyMilkkyWay @purchase_jack I understand what he's saying, I just don't think raytracing is the reason these weapons 'look better' in any way.

Studios release showcase renders all the time. Every Halo game has done it. For promotion, they're put into really nice studio lighting set-ups to amplify detail.

I think I remember @GrimBrotherOne saying he pushed for this sort of diversification to be depicted in the EU media? Not sure. Either way, I couldn't agree more.
