15. Digital doodle 1-3h depending on complexity and effect, regular style earns me about 5USD per hour, and my recent lineless is countless hours and if I offered it in commissions I'd have to charge at least a thousand to make a minimal wage
13. I find the satisfaction-like feelings in both.
When I'm not paid it's all about personal projects.
But I actually like working on commissions and other people's characters when I'm getting paid more than 1USD per hour^^ I really enjoyed working on my latest commission batch
7. For character designs and faces refs are a must
but for other things I use references WAY too rarely nowadays [my male figure anatomy needs a refresh, not to mention other things I never did well, like backgrounds]
6. backgrounds, clothes, hands, feet
[clothes are one of the reasons my fiance's and mine artforms go "nude", backgrounds are one of the reasons I make plenty of transparent-bg figure images]
traditional for the line control and lining speed
digital for ctrl+z and infinite "materials", oh and the painting with light
My gallery statistics say digital won
@Coffaefoxx How about a mix of both? 🤔
(I did it just for the aesthetics, does it trigger you as well or just the full swaps do?^^)
