Painted by the French artist #CamilleRoqueplan in 1851, the subject of this delightful scene is taken from ‘Confessions’, an autobiographical book by #JeanJacquesRousseau.
The piece depicts the story of a 19-year-old Rousseau cherry-picking with Mlles. Galley and de Graffenried.
