(1/5) Evolution is central to Wally's character. He's a timid kid who evolves into a confident trainer, breaking out of his shell thanks to his Pokemon.
But I wanted to talk about how common the evolution imagery is with Wally, starting with his official artwork.
(Thread below)
(1/2) In the New Hoenn Art Book, there's a page dedicated to Wally, which has various concept art.
But I wanted to highlight this one since it shows how Wally is shorter than Brendan. Not surprising since Wally is 10 in Pokemon ORAS, while Brendan is 12.

Which Wally card design is your favorite?
Personally love the full art card and how pure he looks, but the one where he's giving Ralts a Pokeblock is such a classic image to me that I want to pick that too!

Not only is Wally one of the few trainers to use Mega Evolution, he's also one of the even fewer trainers who uses multiple mega evolved Pokemon!
Aside from his signature Mega Gallade, he also uses a Mega Garchomp and a Mega Altaria in the Battle Tree!

One of my favorite artworks of Wally is one where he actually isn't center-stage: this art print from Ken Sugimori featuring Jirachi!
We see Wally with both Kirlia and Swablu! And it has one of the best protagonists and mythical Pokemon to boot!

Which Wally outfit do you like the most?
ORAS outfit holds a special place in my heart, but the Pokespe outfit is really unique and cool! The EX outfit from Pokemon Masters is also a nice homage to the original RSE outfit!

During its anniversary last August, Pokemon Masters launched a website where you can generate a random team with the trainers available at the time. This came with unique art for each trainer, and that includes Wally and Gallade!

What's your favorite official photo of Wally? Here's mine: his full art card from the Roaring Skies series! You can see just how happy he is as a Pokemon trainer!

While he's a proudly Hoenn trainer, majority of Wally's final team is made of Pokemon introduced in Sinnoh.
Granted, most of them are evolutions of previous gen Pokemon, but it's still a cool coincidence!

I could gush all day about how Wally's best art is in the TCG, but this Wally card has had quite a history.
It was banned in the Expanded Format last 2018 for enabling restrictive strategies, but it was recently unbanned because of a new rule on Supporter Cards.
Good for him!
