@dinahspolly If you want a follow up of this Circe I’d suggest also reading DC Showcase ‘96 #2. It has a fun Circe focused story featuring the funniest written Ares I’ve ever seen. His dialogue is worth the price of admission alone 😂

While not the best Pre-Crisis had to offer, it is a very fun design. Sticking with the tried and true red and gold, and a cool design of a n eagle on the chest plate, it is a fitting look to send off the original continuity Ares with.

Wonder Woman #310 puts Ares in what is perhaps his most boring outfit. Just plain red and gold vaguely Greek armour. The helmet’s kinda funky though.

Wonder Woman #288 and #290 brings back what looks to be the armour from the Nubia arc, now fully red in the chest, and more brown in the beard.
