80 years ago, on a day in (probably) July 1942, Wonder Woman #1 was released to world. Within was revealed the ancient history of the Amazons, and more importantly, it was the very first appearance of Ares, the Olympian God of War, in the world of Wonder Woman.

@HalcyonTraveler @questionposting @_Godotto It was the run right before JL #75 with Hippolyta and Black Adam and Naomi and them. Very few people talked about it and those who did rarely had good things to say about it 😭 I hadn’t even realized the JL/Legion story had already come out
