@DetectCatPilot Not quite a pilot, but it is a new installment in a series of shorts I want to do. This series of shorts is sort of a prototype to a much larger series I want to do. It follows the adventures of a young squirrel living with autism, exploring the world and outsmarting predators.
Okay but seriously, why isn't there an animated adaptation of the Parque España characters yet? I love the hell out of these characters and their designs! I want to see a movie or tv show with these characters!
Rolly Crump. Gotta thank my buddy Albert for sharing more of his work (particularly his work on KBT). His more simplistic and abstract art style has gotten me to become a bit more loose and experimental with my art style.
Art Lozzi, particularly his concept art for Tales of the Okefenokee. His more simplistic and kids book-like style I've taken a few notes from in recent character designs (i.e. the crooked muzzles like Mr. Fox's). This along with the following influence helped shape Deputy Dusty.
The next big influence is obviously Chuck Jones. He was one of the first cartoon directors I heard about as a kid, enjoyed all of his cartoons, and were also partially responsible for creating the Maxwell we know today.
Well, can't beat around the bush with this so might as well say it now.
The works of Eric W. Schwartz (at least the ones before Sabrina Online), were the creative spark that led me to craft my original characters and the worlds they live in. Without Amy, there'd be no Maxwell.
