@dsfpspacefl1ght @Nick_Stevens_Gr @DavidSkyBrody Lowel, one of my planets in my KSP solar system mod Whirligig World, is based on Lowell's Mars. I used a Lowell map of Mars and real martian height data, and some hand-painted height features.
Here's an extended view looking all the way from the Sun to Orion's Belt stars, with the four stars making up Orion's body labelled. Same orientation as the first illustration, but farther out. And a chart showing the names of those stars, in the sky as seen from Earth.
@catawbasky @GTCCASTRO @AliciaAarnio i designed a telescope for merfolk astronomers with roughly a nasmyth focus once for a piece of art during the "mermay" art challenge.
In retrospect this is a silly design and there are better alternatives.
@alexriesart Worf looked cold and lonely so I gave him his uniform and kid.

But that's not all. No, that's just the beginning. We're finding more and more of these little worlds far out from the Sun. This drawing of mine shows only a handful of the largest icy solar system worlds, and there may be hundreds more in the depths of the solar system!
Titan is the 2nd largest moon in the system, barely larger than Mercury. It also has a thick atmosphere!1.5 times the pressure of Earth's. It's got lakes and rain of liquid methane and a smoggy hazy atmosphere of very complex organic photochemistry. You could fly here with wings!
