We Lost Our Human takes full advantage of its multiverse romping concept to deliver a very funny and stunning interactive film as ridiculous as it can be heartfelt.
This is the type of project that pushes the boundaries of how creative you can get with an interactive movie.
I highly doubt anyone is gonna get tired of animated films taking influences from Spider-Verse because every film using those similar techniques is using them in a different way than the last film that used them.
All of these have a completely distinct art style from each other:
With the exception of Despicable Me, there’s no going back for Illumination after this and I think they very well know that.
You can’t make what looks like the most visually stunning film from them and then go back to the norm.
You gotta use this as a new jumping point.
@edskudder Implementing their mask into the design is so clever man. The final design came out great.
Netflix’s upcoming special from Chris Garbutt, “We Lost Our Human”, is going to have a runtime of 1hr43m.
To me this classifies it as more of an interactive feature film as opposed to a “show” like how it’s been previously described.
VERY excited about this one.
I will now retreat back into my white void lol. https://t.co/nY1SxaGvgD
No seriously, we genuinely NEED a “Mario movie” approach to adapting the material with a super stylized CG look but for Sonic in a movie.
They could make it look like a mix between the shading of the 90’s promotional art and Greg Martin’s cartoony cover designs. https://t.co/MqcuvvJe7x
I don’t know whether they’re pulling them from pre-existing Rabbids comics or if they’re original works but I’m loving the comic strips that the Rabbids Japan Twitter has been putting out:
