I thought I would post this beautiful painting called Goatherd by Arthur David McCormick (1860–1943) which was purchased in 1929. I love the use of colours, as well as the subject.

We reckon this picture matches today's weather mood. Hope you're all able to stay warm and dry!

This is "The Grove, Bridgnorth, Shropshire" by Philip Wilson Steer, painted in 1911. It was the first work by the artist to enter our collections.

I have posted this as, for me, the title really enhances the image. A Genial Disputant is by an unknown artist. (British School)
It was gifted to us from Mr O. E. Fox in 1959.

'Spring in My Step' by Phil Jackson (b.1954). This oil on canvas painting was a prize winner at the 'Wirral Spring Exhibition' in 2006.

This oil on board painting by Muriel Elise Crooke (1901-1975) is called 'Going Out'. Muriel Elise Crooke was one of the pioneers for guide dogs for the blind in Britain.

This oil on panel painting is called 'Cock and Hen' and is by William Huggins 1820-1884. From our collection.
