Looking at the new #Dragonlance art. I’m just curious, that’s not supposed to be a Dragonlance being wielded right? Maybe a Lance or a spear?
I just hope the Dragonlances are still the powerful weapons we know, that are attached to the saddle & shielded. Don’t change that.

If I travel all my life
And I never get to stop and settle down
Long as I have you by my side
And there's a roof above and good walls all around
You're my castle, you're my cabin and my instant pleasure dome
I need you in my house 'cause you're my home
You're my home

Both Erol Otus masterpieces.
The one on the left is from Polyhedron, and the one on the right is the back cover of Keep on the Borderlands. They came out fairly close to each other, so its hard to know which came first, or if they’re even connected. I’d love to ask Erol.

I normally mix things up here for topics, but I just saw this print go up on Jeff Easley’s site.

So what’s so special about this #Dragonlance image of Caramon and Raistlin by Elmore?
Well, its from Dragon Mag 83 (March ‘84) and was included with the short story by @WeisMargaret “The Test of the Twins”
I believe this is the very first DL story & art!
Good morning #Dragonlance friends!
Here is the cover and some prints from the 1985 DL calendar.
The line up in here is amazing, and inside was a foldout poster of Jeff Easley’s masterpiece “Epic Quest”!
Any of you still holding on to one?
Very interesting to me. When I posted this yesterday, I used the current print.
I had no idea it had been edited/censored. Thanks to all my friends that pointed this out.
Just makes me wonder what other art has changed. Going to have to pay more attention.

1986 then 2022
Late night Larry Elmore submitted “Hidden Danger” years earlier to be used if Dragon ever had a “cover emergency.” Allegedly they never had one, so TSR used it for the Cover of Dragon 108 in ’86 because “it was time.”
Now you know!
