Frederick William Frohawk was born #OTD in 1861. He supplied #sciart for ZSL's Proceedings (now @JZoology), 23 plates between 1886 & 1900. These two examples both accompany 1886 papers by G.A. Boulenger, a #ZSLFellow & #Herpetologist.

Frédéric Cuvier was born #OTD in 1773. These illustrations are from his 4 volume 'Histoire naturelle des mammifères', 1824-42, written with Étienne Geoffroy Saint-Hilaire. The animals were mainly depicted from life.
