@danibeans001 @RigidRat @BlistsP tbh I don't care that blacktober exists or people do black edits or whatever but I wish artists weren't harassed for not using the "correct color"
@Romly @sinomiya444crow Let's not forget all the harassment that several Japanese artists received for using the "wrong color" when coloring, the attitude of those people seems very hypocritical to me
@s1ckencyb3r @Santaisntblind1 @EUPH0RICALLY_ @i1uvtayk @Fugolovesyouu @Alesbianfurry I understand, and tbh I am also in favor of artistic freedom, I don't care that blacktober exists, but I wish that all people enjoyed that artistic freedom.
@TheYoungGlow @BepDelta But in the four nessa fanarts that I posted, the artists hadn't drawn nessa as a white character, she was still a black character.
And the white nessa fanarts that followed were a form of protest in favor of artistic freedom.
@TheYoungGlow @BepDelta So if someone reimagines Nagatoro as a black character, would that erase the low visibility that tanned Japanese have?
Also, being completely honest, Latinos are much less represented than the poc, so it should be allowed to reimagine olive biscuit as an Argentine.
@TheYoungGlow @BepDelta You are mixing apples with oranges, remember that we are talking about fanarts and not about tv shows.
With your logic I could say that there are not many tanned Japanese characters and even so people take away their low visibility with the Blacktober.
@howcomeilovu @erenpiIIed @BepDelta It seems that you are trying to use Arguments from Consequences and false dilemmas (logical fallacies)
Just because someone reimagines a character with a different skin tone doesn't automatically make them racist (this works both ways)
@suzuhi21 Does anyone remember when various artists were harassed for drawing nessa with the "wrong" skin tone?
