The first artist who's style I attempted to copy was @ovopack. It's a much more simplified style than what I'm used to. I particularly like about it how it uses large shapes and how they relate to each other. Definitely something I'd like to make more use of in the future too.

Next I painted a portrait following a photo reference closely, to create a portrait in a semi realistic style. This is how I used to make most of my paintings a couple of years ago.

The first painting I made was in the more clean style I've been developing lately. Usually I use it for character pieces rather than portraits, so translating the density of details was challenging.

Enjoying the simple parts of life.

This is a character painting of @PhazonHarbinger's coyote girl. I'm happy with how causal she turned out wearing the Stranger Things shirt and light jacket. (:

Soft fur in warm colors.

Another character painting. This time of Vyre, a girl from a friends setting. I was asked to portray her with mocha colored fur and I enjoyed a lot to make those gradients look as pleasant as I could. :D

A small change in pace: I took @dogsareforpets's corgi Gwen, to see how well this style would lend itself for a simple portrait painting.

A hoodie that's just warm enough.

This is the next in the character painting series; this time @ValidHeretic's Anna. The large ears and oversized hoodie lend themselves for very cute paintings. I enjoy how this one turned out. (:

A brave adventurer.

I want this kind of character painting into a commission type, so I offered that in a small circle of friends for a test run. @Tooth_And_Scale was the first to pick up on that offer and I painted his maned wolf hybrid, wo I'd later see in a DnD campaign. (:

A struggle against fashion.

After uploading those other character paintings, I decided that another piece focusing more on a dynamic pose with lot's of tension would be a good way to refine the style further. I was very happy with how this particular painting turned out. (:

I decided paint a couple of Pokémon popular among my friends to further test this style with some character interaction. They show some tender affection to match the general mood of my work.
