Usually, the final outcome of course is doing the shitpost because you know the algorithm will favour it, no matter how much more time or effort you spent on a proper piece. 🥲
Unfortunately don't have enough time to chime in with any realistic Ubirajara palaeoart, so I thought I'd draw a quick cartoony one instead.
Oh and stop publishing on unethically-sourced fossils please. #UbirajarabelongstoBR https://t.co/aEHAuVc999
The Knight piece is based on his Edmontosaurus annectens painting. Since my Late Cretaceous boss fight piece for this was pretty much the entry I decided to mash these two up by just adding the meteor to prompt #22.
@skeletaldrawing The new skeletal looks sweet! Ichthyovenator's tail shape would make a lot more sense with this interpretation, though its holotype still lacks many caudals so even that's not certain at the moment. I wonder how extensive the "paddle" might have been compared to Spinosaurus...
Since 2014 I've never drawn Spino with anything but the m-shaped/rectangular sail, so now seemed like an appropriate time to start exploring different options, starting with the possibility of an Ichthyovenator-like double sail.
I see your carcinisation, and I raise you spinosaurisation.
(Shhh, I know the sail/hump's not natural in the caiman but just let him have this one, ok? He wants to believe 😔).
@PermianSailback @JoschuaKnuppe It should probably be noted that the creator of that Wikipedia Spinosaurus (Gustavo Monroy-Becerril) didn't have anything to do with the edit to @JoschuaKnuppe's chart, so there's no need to be mean to the original artist. It's a pretty solid illustration too.
@ArminReindl Nope, there's nothing you can do now but accept your fate. This is how it's supposed to be.
