2. I like to draw because it honestly helps me express myself.
I’m autistic and often I find using my actual voice quite scary, but I still have things to say!
Illustration helps me convey ideas, emotions, and lived experiences that I can’t seem to communicate with my voice.
1. I started drawing in 2014 as a way to cope with my gender-feels, experiencing life as a Black trans masc agender fem, and an intense processing of my mental health at the intersection of racism & queerphobia.

@sloanesloane Fav horror media would probably be comics — the way it forces you to interact with it is brilliant. You have to turn the page, you control the intensity, you control the anticipation. It’s all so terrifying and deliciously exciting!!

I drew this comic on 1/08/2017, about 2yrs after comic out — it’s taken me 4.5yrs to finally get to a place where I could afford top surgery.
Looking back, I think 2017 me would be real proud of 2021 me. I made my vision come true, just look!!
