"Anxiety in Red" by contemporary artist Iryna Kalyuzhna. One year ago, all the things I felt couldn't fit into a tweet. Most days, they couldn't fit into a novel. But sometimes they fit into the resonance structure of a painting, like this one I saw in person last month.

Finally back to big painting projects for the first time since February (🇺🇦❤️). This is a 7"×8" watercolor study for a larger commissioned piece featuring a pig-tailed macaque (Macaca nemestrina). A short 🧵 about sci-art and references:
