so this is mort's mom. still mortal, obviously. mom is kind and nurturing and also divorced before her kid was even born (so the father is rly nowhere to be seen)

there's helena, who used to be a vampire slayer's apprentice, but screwed up when she tried to slay einarr back in the 1810s.

don't worry tho, she's thriving, despite her severe sun weakness, which is worse than with most vampires. but it's fine, really. she's thriving. promise.

when the other three up there found him, he worked at a museum, and basically adopted them immediately the moment they realized he was a vampire too.
