happy new year, i went absolutely ham experimenting with the rendering of this sketch

oh yeah!! i did this one too

first time trying to paint a landscape from a reference pic.. and adding characters

it's very low-res
and the value work is poor, i still consider this a work in progress but will i ever finish?? eh who knows, at least i sort of know what went wrong

also the absolute stress of trying to finish this one literally right before artfight ended sure was something else

i started it at home, imported the sketch to mobile, finished the lineart and flats at work (still mobile), did the shading and final touch-ups at home on desktop,

actually artfight was just great in general because i somehow managed to find a style that was really quick and also fun, letting me do way more art in a day than ever... and then i didn't do it again for the rest of the year

i mentioned artfight, yes??

well here are my personal favorites that i did, for different reasons:
1: took like 6 hours and i did it all on my phone
2: figuring out the eye screen was really fun
3: the colors??? i somehow made the shading rly vibrant??? love it

ah, not to mention the little digital sketch compilations that i just somehow felt like coloring?? this is just a rly fun way to color

unfortunately this coloring method doesn't work that well with bat, as he'd appear way more washed out than usual. i'm so sorry bat

ah yes.... several pictures of the whole squad too

helena is uh.. semi-part of it. not really, she actually hates einarr and hasn't rly met the younger ones yet, but that doesn't stop me from including her sometimes
