My updated #MCU ranking now that #MoonKnight is done.
Will be updating again after #MultiverseOfMadness
Show [14/50] — Moon Knight — [B+]
Oscar Isaac delivers one of the best performances in the MCU. Explores the complexity of Marc Spector’s character well. Good pacing and worldbuilding. The finale felt very by the numbers compared to the rest of the season. Needed more episodes.
Comic/Manga [18/50] — Attack on Titan — Volume 5 — [B+]
Lots of exposition but it leads into the Survey Corps stuff fairly well. Strong introduction to the Survey Corps in general.
Comic/Manga [14/50] — Attack on Titan — Volume 1 — [B+]
Strong start to the series. The art isn’t very clean, but it has a lot of charm to it. Impressive twists even at the beginning.
Album [35/100] — Punisher — Phoebe Bridgers — [4/5]
Favorites:
- Kyoto
- I Know The End
- Chinese Satellite
- Garden Song
- Punisher
Comic/Manga [11/50] — Chainsaw Man — Volume 9 — [A]
Quiet and contemplative compared to the previous volumes. Does a great job showing how far the characters have grown so far while also transitioning into the next arc in a powerful way.
I love FromSoftware because they make some of the coolest looking bosses and NPCs in gaming while also making some of the most grotesque and vile enemies I have ever seen in my life.
I literally can’t fit them all. These are from FOUR different games.
Movie [42/200] — Dirty Dancing — [A]
Swayze and Grey have strong chemistry. I can see why this is a classic. The story is pretty timeless and it’s filled with lots of great moments. There’s a lot of heart in this movie and it keeps you invested all the way through.
Comic/Manga [10/50] — Chainsaw Man — Volume 8 — [A-]
Absolutely insane volume that closes off the arc. Even bigger threats are introduced and the art is stunning. Makima continues to be compelling. Denki is still boring though. Surreal elements can make reading confusing.
