When I designed SH3 Closer, I knew Pieter Bruegel & his some works. But I really didn't know this medieval beekeeping suit...(FYI, Closer's face was inspired by a work of Francis Bacon.) Maybe I was a beekeeper in my past life.
I've been into Gas Mask from my younger days. Even though it's a protective mask used to cover a person's face as a defence against poison gas, It looks innocence. I even think it's so cute. And I drew the right one as a sleepy face.

The girl in the 1st piece was one of idea sketches for the protagonist of a story spun off from Acid Bufferzone, which I drew a couple of years ago. She is a ground crew who repairs the surface of a human-shaped Machinery in the sizzling hot, in a World of rising sea level.
The Illustration I painted for Chappie DVD & Blu-ray Japanese edition. Its something like postcard.
