@OrionSketches @AcidBufferzone It's based on this image. And there is no reference in particular. But the gas mask is based on Soviet GP-5/ German M1917/1918 gas mask.

The universe of Acid Bufferzone is a little bit inspired by Nausicaa in terms of bioremediation. The post-bug in A-Bzone eats the acidic dust on specific surfaces.
I've read the original manga (Nausicaa) a long time ago. That had a great vision about bioremediation at that time.
