a few people have been sharing their state animal mixes here & while i definitely encourage more people to draw their own state creatures, here's some other interpretations of rhode island and washington, and california bc everyone thinks quailbear is weird for some reason

@PeachyKeet haha, my original idea was something like this, sort of the same direction, but i felt like a gryphon... needs to have a total of six limbs ??? are there gryphon rules?

saw a post about combining your state bird & state mammal to make a gryphon, which is a cute idea!

my state bird is the northern cardinal, and the state mammal is the virginia big-eared bat, so there were a couple of logistical things to work out with designing this guy 💦

i guess #pinkart is trending... it's one of my favourite colours to use, actually, and a dusty pink manages to sneak its way into a lot of my palettes, even if it wasn't there to begin with!

a finished commission of a double pet portrait! the commissioner requested their organs mixing & weeds & succulents blooming around them. & a close up of the organs because i had fun stylising them a bit differently this time...

making a few new horror-movie-themed masks with my new order. is jaws a horror movie??? it's a horror movie for shark conservation at least.

i used to have a silence of the lambs themed mask and never restocked them but now i updated it. B) coming in during like, may/june

it's #BatAppreciationDay! here's a bat with some flowers i painted a bit ago. they're fascinating animals with very delicate systems... my favourite bats are big-eared bats and spotted bats, personally, but generally any microbat is the cuter of the two types of bat, imo.

i got a tattoo apprenticeship under teresa sharpe at unkindness art in richmond, va! while the state is on lockdown (until 6/10) i am going to be taking some online classes to get cpr/first aid/bbp re-certified, so i'm opening two slots for tattoo style badges to pay for them!
