The way the Jedi remembered their fallen is both beautiful and poignant. It's unfortunate that we didn't get to see something like this in The Clone Wars. Anakin's reaction to Obi-Wan's "death" is particularly moving.

1. Anakin definitely knew about the move Obi-Wan used to defeat Maul and even practiced it.
2. Obi-Wan would also later defeat Maul when he tried to use the same killing stroke he used on Qui-Gon.
The lesson here is that Obi-Wan has a long memory and will adapt if necessary.
