Here I am working through the "ugly phase", when all the imperfections of the original pencil drawing comes through, even after adjustments in the "inked" phase. Work through that sh*t. And YES, I did spend 2 days on that microphone

I still draw traditionally, typically a combination of blueline and regular pencil. Scan the work,adjust and edit the pencils and begin painting. I work from the background to the figure. I always call this the "ugly phase".
