Murakami is very much a nexus point for both. He's conquered contemporary and pop art, and remains a staunch influencer within the space. With one eye on nostalgia and the other looking towards the future, it made sense for him to embrace NFTs. It made sense for me to paint him.

Getting through the "ugly" stage. Blocking out highlights and shadows isn't very glamorous or sexy, but it's important that you get it right. At least the beard is coming along nicely.
