@dynamicsymmetry I think Alan Moore was indulging in this kind of optimistic catharsis with Ozymandias' audacious plot to save mankind through mass sacrifice. Sure he's holding it up for criticism, but I think he's also acknowledging that many of us entertain those thoughts.
