i'm gonna go ahead and drop the reference: Dear Brother is a series by Riyoko Ikeda, same creator as Rose of Versailles, and involves a seemingly normal protagonist winding up in an elite all-girls academy and winding up in drama involving the three most popular girls in school
late-night fantomah and haley doodle
in fairness to fantomah, Dear Brother is very cool
with the way i cropped this it looks like it's spicy but it isn't
i'll finish this later, i think
ftr: it tends to look like this when i'm done (w/ a thumbnail from said project)
compare a majority of this with the actual first page of coffee shop
the whole comic was "scripted" this way because i was looking for the most natural, stress-free way for me to tell a story before i adapted it into a comic
like, seriously, this is what i used as a basis for the first two pages of coffee shop
just a mess of vertical comic strips
i was making a webtoon with the intent of converting it into a traditional comic format
why?
i don't know
anyway here's a Zero having a normal one
finding new things to enjoy about penciling over inking and realizing how much closer i want inking to feel like penciling

give me a licensed product, lemme put beady eyes on batman
a fun issue with working in CSP when you utilize aliased stuff is that sometimes when zoomed out, you get some bizarre artifacting like in the first image, even tho at 100% zoom you find out it's super clean like in the second image
