Good afternyan~ My #kanji for today is 用, use/utilize.

The kanji itself represents a barrel, which makes it easy to associate with the 'use' meaning, since barrels are used for lots of things.

Remember, you have to 'use' kanji to remember them.

Good afternyan! My #kanji for today is 番, number (in a series). So #1, #2, etc.

While this originally meant an animal paw, it's easier to think of this in terms of the radical 釆 (to divide) plus 田 (field) to number the sections of something.

ようこそ! Today's #kanji is 刀, blade~

To me, this looks more like the handle of a blade, but that makes it pretty easy to remember.

It originally meant 'knife' and the little hook on the upper left was the blade.

I think of this as someone holding a microphone in front of a couple speakers. I can also see it as a crowd shouting and waving those glow sticks at a concert.

I had trouble remembering this #kanji. The best I've come up with is a saw to cut a log into sections.

Kanji are often challenging, so don't give up~

Good afternyan~ the #kanji for today is 引, pull.

弓(bow) plus a line indicates the motion of pulling on a bow. And as my example sentences show, you can derive things like "lead" and "discount" from "pull".
