@ErikJLarsen When I did my study abroad semester in college, I could only take a couple of books with me, so I took the then-recent Essential Spider-Man #1 with me and read it cover to cover about five times on that trip (wonky non-Ditko cover and all).

The story's conclusion hinted that there might be more tales to tell in that corner of Gotham, but sadly, that's not meant to be. But what a finale. Thirty years drawing Batman, and still showing everyone how it's done.
