Long ago, Emperor Shirakawa reneged on a deal with head monk Raigō to expand his temple. Enraged, the monk transformed into a rat upon his death, and cursed all those who wronged him in life.

Crow Tengu

Tengu are the most well known of yokai, but they are also considered winged #shinto gods, or #kami, and are viewed as guardians. There are two forms, the "goblin", long nosed form, and the humanoid #crow #tengu as illustrated below.

#Oni are a kind of ogre in Japanese folklore. They are usually potrayed with green or red skin, a pair of horns, wearing a tiger-pelt toga or loincloth.

I drew this one especially as today it's #Setsubun in Japan!
