Sometime last year whilst I was working on "It is what it isn't" series, I read that they were making computer chips with human brain cells. This piece was created as a counter to Transhumanist/posthumanist discourse. One which says it is our natural evolution to merge with AI

My favourite large painting of mine this year, it wasn't a finalist for any awards but still wowed myself in bringing abstract markings to eventually look sculptural if I took enough time painting :) Look forward to 2023.
It's too easy to accuse people of cultural appropriation and the damage will take time to undo. I was accused after being encouraged to use Te Reo Maori words in a proposal. The effect? I'm now scared to use Te Reo. My work had to do with awe, my work, not just a Maori concept :(

Omg, and I found a print of my drawing of Charlie. I was 16 when I drew this. We had 1/2 hour to do this one. One of the perks of my high school was that we had real life models come to our art classes.
